my name is Giulia. I trained in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Turin and completed my Master’s thesis at Imperial College London, specialising in structural biology. During my PhD at King’s College London, I focused on the biophysical effects of post-translational modifications on proteins involved in neurodegeneration.I have since gained experience in cell and model systems, and worked at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia on protein self-assembly and aptamer-based strategies. My research centres on protein folding and misfolding in disease. I now aim to study synthetic lethality in pancreatic cancer treatment.
